There are the beautiful perfectly sunny days starting with breakfast outside. We don't feel pressured to go anywhere, but we might go into Cortona only a few miles away to have a coffee in La Saletta on the Via Nazionale and watch the world go by
We love visiting Pienza; it's a beautiful place no wonder Pope Pius chose it out of all Italy to build his beautiful palace there with stunning views over the countryside. Despite its charm it isn't crowded. We buy our pecorino cheese there, visit a lovely toyshop and have lunch at the Latte di Luna (if it's open) or la Buca delle Fate.
Back at the Borgo we might have a swim in the pool or relax and read our books.
